Congrats Kate! Another artist worth mentioning is Gordon Goodwin and his Big Phat Band from LA. Gordon was nominated for 3 grammys, one for his chart on Yesterdays featuring Art Tatum.

I agree with the above – Gordon Goodwin has a fantastic band, and he did win 1 grammy I believe. That Art Tatum chart was fabulous. Reminded of when Natalie Cole “sang” with her dad on the grammy winning CD from the early 1990′s (1992?). I’ll bet some of the same musicians from Gordon’s band played on that recording as well.
